The shipping method we are using for US orders is DDP (Delivered Duties Paid), which means all duties, tariffs, and fees are covered at checkout and you will not be charged any extra fees when you order arrives. 🥳

What has changed for US customers?

On the 29th of August the US government removed the de minimis threshold and changed the way that tariffs would be collected. This change meant that USPS was required to collect these US government imposed tariffs when parcels arrive in the US, but because they do not have the infrastructure to do so yet it was put onto us as the seller to collect these tariffs, pay them to our couriers, who then pay them onto the US government (ridiculous, we know).

What IS the de minimis threshold?

The de minimis threshold was responsible for allowing all parcels with a value of $800 and below to enter the USA duty free (and the reason we had not previously had any tariffs charged on our parcels). The removal of this threshold means that all parcels entering the country will now incur a tariff that is paid to the US Government.

How much is the Tariff and how is it charged?

The tariffs range from 10-30% depending on the item's country of origin. Thankfully most of our items are made here in Australia so the majority only require a 10% tariff. These tariffs are included in our product prices (only applicable for US customers) so the price you see at checkout is the final cost inclusive of tariffs. Once your order goes through to us the tariffs are paid to our courier who pays them to the US Government. Our courier does also charge a $3AUD fee per parcel but we have chosen to absorb this cost on our end.
